A Violet Verse pocket guide to the city’s best fashion stops
🛍️ Miami Shopping Guide (2025)
Miami it girls are not the same as NYC it girls, however they both love shopping, getting dressed, and serving. When I moved to Miami just five years ago, I was already accustomed to the fashion, having reported on Art Basel almost eight years prior. The style here is more spice, heavy labels, and ripped bodies, thanks to the humid weather all year round. Moreover, in recent years, Miami has been named the top city for wellness, with so many fitness studios including Barry's Bootcamp, Tracy Anderson Method, Reserve Padel, plus Turkish bath houses and luxury spas. Not to mention, it’s home to top plastic surgeons, which makes it the perfect place to get all the latest treatments. Why not indulge in shopping when the weather is literally 85 degrees and sunny every day?
What’s more is the extreme style choices — you can be clad in a bikini or dressed up in a lace ball gown. The guys wear crisp button-down shirts and Brunello Cucinelli suede slides. Alo Yoga and Lulus paired with Hermès sandals are part of the uniform. Miami is filled with wellness junkies, models, athletes, and lots of tourists. At any given moment, you can run into someone at the grocery store in a bikini cover-up on the way to the beach. Bal Harbour Shops in North Miami and Merrick Park in Coral Gables are both great choices to get Athleta or Nike — there’s also Saks and Neiman Marcus.
The district is Miami’s style engine—architectural, high-fashion, and full of energy.

Head to the Design District. Walk 40th/41st Street → grab a coffee and Empanadas at Pura Vida → People watch and bounce between Dior, Amiri, Miu Miu, and KITH → finish at BAPE or Balenciaga. It’s the closest thing to a “ultra lux fashion roadkill” Miami has.
