From Blue Label to Web3: Ralph Lauren's Iconic Collaboration with Poolsuite Transcends Boundaries of Fashion and Technology

My all-time favorite Ralph Lauren piece is a cropped dark blue velvet jacket embellished with vintage-like brass sailor buttons. I stumbled upon this remarkable coat at the TJ Maxx clearance rack and cherished it throughout my high school years, particularly during the autumn season. The jacket exuded an air of sophistication, effortlessly pairing with wide-legged jeans, courtesy of the embroidered RL logo adorning the front left breast. Among the select few designer items in my wardrobe, this piece commanded admiration from the popular girls on both sides of town, simply because it boasted the prestigious blue label. Ralph Lauren, a beloved brand, transcends social classes, revered by all for its quintessential American appeal, be it a church service, graduation, or formal ceremony.

When I caught wind of Ralph Lauren's collaboration with Poolsuite, an online radio station, Web3 lifestyle brand, and now sunscreen company that made its debut in 2014, I was genuinely astounded! Marty Bell, the visionary founder of Poolsuite, consistently reinvents the platform, captivating technologists worldwide with its 80s-inspired lifestyle design aesthetic, complemented by social media features that pay homage to the nostalgic days of AOL chat rooms and CD players. Ralph Lauren's partnership with Poolsuite serves as a testament to how traditional brands can merge with modern technology, marking the advent of web2 brands taking bold risks and venturing into uncharted territories. The "Liesurist" collaboration delivered an immersive experience, featuring 3,000 co-designed NFTs that granted exclusive access to an RL private waterfront estate in Miami.

Here's my NFT!

Fortuitously, I had the privilege of attending the official launch party on behalf of Boys Club, as a special guest of Marty Bell himself. As I arrived, a striking red Ferrari greeted me in the courtyard. Making my way down the long driveway, I was met with a breathtaking waterfront view of Biscayne Bay from the back of the estate, accompanied by staff impeccably dressed in white Ralph Lauren outfits. Even the lawn furniture boasted the Ralph Lauren touch. NYC-based DJ Natasha Diggs spun funky, soulful disco tunes on vinyl, donning a stunning Ralph Lauren sunset-colored silk gown. Eager to join my friends, I approached the bar area, and to my astonishment, even the napkins were elegantly embroidered with the brand's logo, epitomizing its aesthetic. It would be an understatement to say that we found ourselves immersed in the Ralph Lauren metaverse. Meeting Marty Bell in person became an absolute necessity—I simply had to express my gratitude to the host. Hours later, a publicist guided me to the man of the hour, leisurely reclining on a pool bed, surrounded by an array of beautiful faces. Marty greeted me warmly with a big hug, expressing his appreciation for my presence. Undeniably, he embodied the true essence of Ralph Lauren's lifestyle philosophy.

The three-day event also featured the grand opening of a Ralph Lauren pop-up shop in Miami, which proudly accepted cryptocurrency. Not to mention, weeks later, guests of Poolsuite received an exclusive custom Pool Suite x Ralph Lauren Martini maker set!

Ralph Lauren has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to maintaining its connection with fashion, technology, and culture, making this news far from regular. The essence of understated luxury reigns supreme across all Ralph Lauren brands, from the Blue Label to the Purple Label, enabling anyone to identify with their clothing and instantly embrace the spirit of America.
